Ohio Birds

Despite the fact that European settlement in the region brought about the extinction of several species of birds, including, for example, the Passenger pigeon and the Carolina parakeet, Ohio continues to be the home of a wide variety of birds. Specifically Ohio holdings are few, but regional accounts of the natural history which include Ohio are more numerous. Shown here are a few holdings which span the 20th century, and which cover Ohio in general, as well as southwest Ohio, specifically.
