Children's 19th Century Scientific Literature

Arabella Buckley
(1840-1929)

Her books of popular science for children including The Fairyland of Science (1879) were based on lectures given to children in London ; in this she declared “that science is full of beautiful pictures, of real poetry, and of wonder-working fairies.” Other works Winner's in Life's Race, or the great backboned family (1882).
