A History of British Quadrupeds: Including the Cetacea
London: J. Van Voorst, 1874

Thomas Bell, an Englishman, was a well-known scientist of the 19th century, in particular a zoologist, with in-depth knowledge of crustacea. He was responsible for describing the reptile specimens Charles Darwin brought back to England following his journey on the HMS Beagle. Featured here are two of his zoological works, the first on Reptiles, the second on quadrupeds.
